It's $30K difference here. And yeah it's a lot of money for essentially 60 more stock hp and a few extra standard features.

I went with the Turbo and ultimately it was a judgement call for me, knowing my whims. I WILL end up modifying the vehicle at some point during ownership, and agree that there are definitely some excellent gains on the table with the S.....but I believe, and this is just my opinion, that the 3.6TT will be at least as responsive to tuning.

Is the additional cost "justifiable"? That's down to the individual I guess.

Base for base, yes, almost $30k here, which is eye watering to be honest.
That said, with like for like options, it was actually $15k difference on mine.

Does anyone know besides the engine what else the Turbo has that the S doesn't?

PS I've read that once the headlights are, on meaning the DRLs will be off, that there will be a single strip of LED Position lights they will illuminate on the bumper.
See if you can find a pic with the LED strip lit up as DRLs on the S model. There is information that even the Halogen's have 4 point halogen based DRL's and the strip is only lit for signalling and as a nighttime driving light. Trying to confirm this.

bragging right for being under 5 seconds (0-60mph) ... even the SQ5 needs 5.1 seconds (if I remember)

Wouldn't suprise me if someone gets an S under 5 seconds in fairly short order. The media is already quoting 5.0 with sport chrono. Of course that means the Turbo will probably get under 4.5.

^ this. LED strip is not a DRL.... unless you drive around with the headlights on during the day

My feelings about the SQ5:

Macan Turbo > Macan S > SQ5 > Q5

Also, why is the fuel tank smaller on the Macan S (approx 17.1 gallons) versus Macan Turbo (approx 19.8 gallons)? I've seen that and have been wondering.
