Default how long do you plan to keep your macan?

Hi all

i'm planning on getting a Macan GTS.... still deciding the details, like lease vs buy, but at the leasing rates i've been looking at its like like $46-48K after 39 months ! (1200+ per month). that's a lot of money to rent a car for 39 months.

anyway, the question is, for those of you who purchase or finance, how long do you plan to keep your macan --- before you trade it in for the next car/ Porsche? this would be a DD

I like changing my cars every 3 years so in my case lease in the best option. I just ordered a GTS.

To be honest I just returned/sold my Acura MDX after just 12 months (my lease was for 3 years) but I did that to get the Macan. Couldn't wait 2 more years

If I really like the car, I still have the option to buyout after the 3 years (or get a new Macan )

Forever or until I get the itch (again) for something shinier and newer. So say 2-3 years.

just to add on the above response.
I put a 10k deposit on the GTS and still haven't decided if I will lease for 3 or 4 years..... maybe 3 1/2

My wife and I buy cars with intention to keep them until they die or until something better comes along that's worth the cost. For people who trade cars often, leasing makes sense. Most of the depreciation happens in the first 3 years for new cars, I don't like paying the depreciation for the next buyer.

I think in Canada the lease rate is very high you might as well get a finance from the banks.
I wish the interest rate is as low as in the US, lending rate I meant.

Bought mine used private party 1 year old with cash, so the first owner took the big hit and I'm not paying interest now. Plan to keep about 1-2 years then see what's cool in the marketplace and sell if something is compelling.
