Default Has anyone else experienced the frontal alarm going off?

I noticed today, driving down the hwy in the snow, blowing snow, the alarm went off indicating I am going to hit something. I assume that the sensor is being blocked by snow.

I sometimes have the same issue when sitting in traffic. I think it is sun reflecting off the car in front.

I have the same issue in some of our narrow lanes or if a HGV gets a little to close in slow moving multi lane traffic.

You can adjust the sensitivity in the settings our just temporarily disable the sensors via the overhead colsul switch (or at least you cab do the latter in the UK)

@bcgreen , I noticed that the front proximity sensor goes off unexpectedly every time if I see a vehicle with a chrome bumper immediately in front or even side lanes. Then I simply turn the sensors off until that vehicle disappears. I also can confirm that blowing snow or rain also tend to do set it off at times and I think it has to do with the reflection of the signal when the sensors get covered by ice/snow/ and more of freezing rain other than just summer rain.

Also know that some Ford lane warning systems tend to set it off. Close traffic is likewise tricky. The system is pretty smart and very accurate when you're actually parking. But in close traffic, well, that button's in close reach...
