Default Service Schedule

Ok, I'm stupid...I admit it. My answer is just under my thumb, but cant find it for the life of me. My car, delivered July 2, 2016 has a bit over 8,000 miles on it. No problems, no shop calls yet....thank goodness. Question is, when is the first routine maintenance called for? I can't find the info in the PCM under "Car Settings", and yes, I read the manual but no mention. Can someone point me in the right direction? TIA,

2017 MacanS, delivered 7/2/16. Night Blue Metallic w/ Black Luxor Beige; Premium Pkg+, Nav, Connect+, LCA, Bose, Heated steering, 14-way thrones, Trophy Wife of 38 yrs in passenger seat.

It is not in the main manual. It is in the booklet labeled "Maintenance". It is in the pouch that contains all the books.
It is also in the TFT display. Both miles and days remaining.

10K miles or 1 year of driving. Don't forget that if the time in service interval hits before the mileage interval, as in my case, it still needs to be serviced. I just paid $280 at my indie Porsche garage last week & highly recommend the indies if you've got a good one.

I have a question on this aswell.

I only owned 1 car before this and it was a 2004 Honda Accord. ( I bought it when it was already at 80,000 miles )

I had to perform routine oil changes at 3k - 5k miles / 3-6 months. When I got the Macan, I was albeit surprised to see first maintainence at 10k. Is that normal for a new car? I thought all new cars needed some wear in and an oil change was recommended after the break-in period 2-3 k miles ? Anyone have any ideas on this ?

I suppose your 04 Accord use regular oil as opposed to synthetic oil used by pretty well most modern cars this day, hence the longer interval. Mind you, the longer oil change interval is recommended by manuf. and if you want to put extra TLC to the car, by all means, you can change the oil at every 5,000 miles. I change mine every 4500 - 5000 miles, for the record.

No, for regular oil, they recommended 3k and for Synthetic, 5k service for the honda. Interesting.. I guess ill keep it to recommended standards. Now i am wondering if I overpaid when I bought the maintenance package from the dealer for 5 years lol
