Default Disable Auto On/Off?

Hi guys- I've been trying to do some reading but haven't come up with any answers, and I'm hoping someone can help before I place an order for a new 2017 GTS.

This auto on/off feature is a bit of a deal breaker to me. I honestly hate it, and its annoying. I have it in my car now and found someone to disable it through the computer system permanently so I didn't have to do it each time I got in the car.

Is there a way to disable it permanently? Setting? Special computer setting the tech can do when I take delivery?

Thanks for the help and clarification.

I only needed to turn it off once. Then saved the settings to the key and it stayed off ever since. So unless they changed something you don't have to turn it off every time you get in the car.

I have a 2017 base Macan and the Auto start/stop defualts to the last position it was in when I start the car. So turn it off , its off when I start the vehicle.

Lane departure has to be turned off every time you start the car. Default is always on. This is my first Porsche and I can't figure out why they do certain things.

It depends how you have your key memory set. If you don't have the "last memory" key selection selected, you can leave it switched off and it won't go on again until you turn it on. That's what I do with this feature, and also LDW, which I never use. But I like to use the start/stop selectively, so I programmed it to the diamond button on the steering wheel. The other thing I do is keep it in Sport most of the time after warm up, which locks out auto stop/start.

Not on mine. Check your settings for auto memory.

Getting ready for to submit my build, and I asked my dealer about this and they said it can't be done without external tuning. I'm so confused. I'm looking at the GTS model if that makes a difference, and while this might seem small to some, when spending $80k on a call, this is an important feature for me.

Dealers often don't know squat. LDW and Autostart are one time disabled items. I believe LDW disabled needs the key memory set and Autostart does not. Either way they can be disabled once and forgotten.

Rest assure, it can be disable just by pushing a button. I also have the gts model and my car also came from NJ, if that makes you feel any better lol.
