Default Mystery Button

The button at the upper left of the driver's door switch group is not referenced in the owner's manual. Can anyone identify it's function? Thanks.

Consulting the "Good-to-Know" app, I see it under the Lane Change Assist section. The button switches Lane Change Assist on or off.

Yup, LCA on/off. The "on" light was annoying me, so I turned it off. Realized a while later that my LCA wasn't working. Took even longer to correlate the two & felt like a real dummy when I did finally put it all together!

Default mystery solved

Awesome quick way to learn something new - just ask the question. People here seem to know everything large and small about this amazing automobile.

I have added a note on page 21 of my (MY 17) owner's manual Cockpit Overview to "see page 143" for an explanation of what that non-referenced button does.

Thanks again. Cheers

Some switches show red as on and others show red as off. Very strange.

Lane Chance Assist is useless in the Macan anyways...the sensors are so delayed compared to Mercedes and other vehicles I've driven...anyone else notice that or are mine just super slow (if so maybe I'll have the dealer check on this at the next service)...given Porsche's ineptitude for electronics I figured this was just a crappy system

The system is sourced from Hella and it is identical to that in most recent Audi's, VW's, BMW's and many other makes so there likely is either a problem in perception, or performance in your vehicle. You will also find that almost all the electronics in the vehicle are sourced from highly qualified ODM's who supply identical or near identical systems globally. In the unlikely event Porsche hired inept staff, even then it would be hard for them sabotage the electronics.
