Default Aftermarket Apple CarPlay

I just purchased a new Macan GTS with the basic PCM (no Nav or Connect). Does anyone know if you can add or upgrade the PCM with Apple CarPlay? Any help is appreciated.

Per Porsche, they won't upgrade any PCM 4.0 from it's factory build. If you don't have carplay, then Porsche will not help you out...they will state that it can't be done (which means they won't do it or support any changes. Unlike previous PCM's, Porsche doesn't even offer a "voice" upgrade for a PCM 4 even if it has the pre-requisite navigation feature (and they claim they won't be offering it in the future).

Thank you. That is pretty much what the sales person said. I was hoping for someone to have more knowledge. It doesn't seem like it should be too difficult to add.

I have seen some aftermarket cool stuff in Asia. A Chinese company makes some software/hardware upgrade that can turn your PCM as old as 2015 to Nav/Apple Carplay.

There was a thread a long time ago on this forum about this. You can search for it.

2015 Macan S | white | agate grey | 19" turbo wheels | summer tires | premium pkg | 18-way seats | PASM | LCA | ventilated seats | 3-zone | gloss black trim | smoking pkg | ACC+PAS | comfort lighting | ordered 12/15/2014, built 1/30/2015 & delivered 3/28/2015 | H&R lowering springs @1370 miles, 5/15/2015

Question

Would you guys not have warranty problems undertaking non Porsche modifications?

As with any modification, if you run into problems caused by the modification, you have no warranty (in the US). On the other hand, if you modify the PCM and you have a problem with your front wheel bearing, the bearing would still be covered because the modification had nothing to do with the failure of that bearing. That's not to say that your dealer or Porsche might take a different position, but I believe the law is as I stated it.....(I'm not a lawyer).

Porsche do now offer retrofit for Sport+, Nav and CarPlay on PCM4.

Not sure what the US part numbers are but the Europe part numbers are:

Sports+ 95B 044 900 73 (for pre MY17 95B 044 900 70)
SatNav Europe maps with Voice control 95B 044 902 00 or 01 (I'm not clear of the difference between the 00 & 01 options)
Apple CarPlay 95B 044 900 07
