"Having said that" - A phrase to negate something that you just said so that you can say what you actually think.

What can also be more scary to them is to tell them that you'll pay the $200 and then give them the worst possible customer service score when PCNA calls for the post-purchase customer survey.

Hey @iconoclast , Sorry I didn't see your post sooner. No, this is extended warranty, 100% parts & labor, does not include maintenance. 4 yrs of duplication w/ factory warranty, plus 3 yrs extra. Maintenance plan offered was $2400 for 3 years lube, oil, filter, etc., every 5000 mi, even though oil change typically only comes up every 8-10k miles per the on-board computer. IMO these are a rip-off. Didn't bite on any. They added nitrogen w/o my approval, $145.95. I was in a hurry, so let it go.

OK Hokie, What you called service contract is extended warranty which I had already listed. This is different from maintenance plan which I also had on the list.

I'm turning the tables around, I am telling my SA what freebies will I get for buying the car! He claims he will manage a few vouchers that I can spend on accessories etc.

I already told him up front I don't want PP or tint as I have a friend who runs a workshop doing exactly that ...

I guess dealer here isn't too worries about add on sales post purchase, considering they are the worlds leading Porsche dealership in revenue for the second year running!

2016 S (delivered), Rhodium Silver | 14 -Way 2 Tone Agate/Pebble Grey | 21" 911 Turbo Rims | AS/PASM | PTV+ | SC | Pano | Rev Cam | Entry&Drive | Black PDLS | Running Boards | Tinted LED | Black Window Trim | Light Comfort | Lane Assist | BOSE | Mirror Dim

Are these things that the dealer really offers during the paperwork signing?
What is ding/scratch insurance? Is that something that pays your insurance deductible? Do they really offer people remote starter installation or do you need to ask?

Yes, they could offer those as part of the list of "add-ons" when you sign. However, they will usually offer a lower grade paint coating like Cilajet, but charge you an arm and a leg for it, hence why everyone goes to an independent shop instead. Ding/scratch insurance covers all the little dings/rock chips/dents/scratches on your paint, meaning you can take your car to their bodyshop whenever, and they will usually do a paintless dent/ding repair or a touch-up paint job/buffing for chips/scratches for free.
