Default Show me your box - Roof mounted cargo box

While trying to figure out which box I was going to go with, there were very few pics of boxes on Macans. The most pics in one place that I could find were on a thread over in the Audizine forum called "show me your box" so I thought that we could do the same over here on macanforum.com.

It took me a while to figure out which box to go with. The Porsche branded ones look badass but I didn't like the mounting hardware. There are bolts that slide into the slotted channels in the oem crossbars that then have to pop up through holes through the belly of the box. Seemed fussy to me and I wanted to keep the option of moving the box over to another car in the future.

In the end, I went with the thule flow on the oem crossbars. The mounting clamps for the box are super easy to use. Slide them where you want them to go and then turn a knob. Just a few minutes to put the box on by myself. I have the box slid back towards the rear of the car as far as it will go because I think it looks the best there. With it mounted on the OEM crossbars, the rear hatch opens without touching the box (thanks to the oem bars sitting so high).

If you have any pics of your roofbox, post them here and let's get this thread going.

Thanks for starting this! I'm already thinking about a box for our yet-to-be-delivered Macan.
Any observations on wind noise when driving at highway speed with the box?

It looks like the Porsche 520 box (at least from suncoast) is actually competitively priced with the similarly sized Thule Hyper XL. Both are right around $1K.

Default Another related question

It looks like most of these are mounted on OEM cross bars.
In the pics, it appears that the rear cross bar is taller than the front to keep the box level.
Can someone who has OEM baars confirm or deny this?

Thule painted Rhodium Silver to match Macan...body shop added Porsche crest on rear...a nice surprise!
